Catherine Hodnett is a California-based pharmacist with more than 15 years of experience in pharmacy practice and regulations. She is the owner of Alliance Pharmacy Consulting, a California-based health care consultancy which advises clients with pharmacies on regulatory probation as well as best practices on pharmacy compliance inspections.
Catherine is an expert in pharmacy regulations and general state and federal regulations affecting pharmacy practice and medication management. She has deep knowledge of database design concepts and analytic tool development as well as having strong vendor relationship experience and management skills. Her professional expertise includes compliance inspections at pharmacies, wholesalers, & clinics, non-sterile & sterile compounding inspections, compliance investigations, drug diversion & fraud investigations, wholesaler investigations, CURES/corresponding responsibility investigations, controlled substance audits, investigation report writing, and expert witness testimony.
Catherine, honorably discharged from the United States Air Force, has a deep background in freight delivery and logistics as well as freight brokerage compliance and accounting.
Prior to founding Alliance Pharmacy Consulting, she was an Inspector for the California State Board of Pharmacy. She also has held positions as a staff pharmacist at Kaiser Permanente and several Chain Pharmacies.
Catherine holds a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of the Pacific.
